Bellefontaine Cemetery

I’ve been away for a while! I haven’t had a chance to get out and take photos much the last month or so. I’m in the process of moving, and just got a new job a couple hours north in Jacksonville, Illinois. So I was thrilled to have a photo outing this weekend with Tim and fellow photographer friend Kara Pritchard.

We intended to meet up with the St. Louis Ubiquitous Tailor’s group, but a time mix up caused us to miss them. Instead we explored the cemetery where there were beautiful carvings, statues, and Mausoleums. In particular, we stumbled up on the Hunt Mausoleum. The inside was closed off, but Kara managed to get a photo through one of the gaps with her cellphone.

There was also a bell tower toward the middle of the cemetery that caught our eye.

All in all a good photo trip, though I’m sad we missed out on the costumes the members of the Tailor’s group were wearing.
