Last Saturday, after already being a little sore from the previous day’s hike at Pleasant Ridge Park, I decided to visit the Compton Hill Water Tower and climb the 198 steps up to the top of the tower.
Once I neared the end of the climb, I got to the last, much more narrow, spiral staircase to top where there was a 360 view of the city. I opened the window, now 700 feet up, and took a few photos of the view. I was a little dismayed at the haze, but the view was well worth the climb.
The architecture and details of this tower are amazingly intricate.
