Last weekend after a trip to the Compton Hill Water Tower, I went to Crown Candy Kitchen (can you say yum?) for lunch. We then drove around the area exploring some of the neighborhoods with years of hardships imprinted on the falling walls.
I hadn’t explored this side of St. Louis in a few years, so it was nice to see some familiar locations, including the spot photographed above of the Mary still painted on one of the walls.
The color and cheer of some of the images contrasted sharply against the decaying urban background.
